V6 (255) Dimensions

Ok, a strange one this, but a query none the less.

I currently own a 182 and it fits nicely in my garage, its replacement HAS to fit in my garage, its a new build so the garage is not the largest ever seen!

I've already had to disregard many cars that i'd like due to their size, which has brought me to the V6. According to Parkers.co.uk the dimensions of the V6 255 are the same as the 182 :S I just cant see that being correct as the V6 has a much wider looking stance at the back...

According to Parkers, its Length is 3773mm, Width 1940mm.

I've looked on Evo and Letstorquebhp and cant find any other figures as to the size of the cars.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct dimensions of the V6, I need to be able to rule it in or out of my decision making once and for all!

They are the same mirror to mirror. Mine was a nightmare to get in and out of though as door sills are much wider. Thankfully I am in ok shape so could just squeeze out. Padding on the wall is a must.

They both fit easily into single parking spaces, it's just the doors that are a pain... because they are so thick it's hard to open them and have any room to get out.

Find one for sale close to you, ring up and ask if it's possible to try it in the garage first?!

According to V6Clio.net and the link above the length is 3841mm, and the width, mirror to mirror is 1940mm. So its 68mm longer and exactly the same width, in that case it will fit I already have carpet on the wall to stop me damaging my door when getting out, and i'm slim.

Mine fits inside a standard single garage, as you said I also have carpet on the wall to stop the door hitting the brickwork.

My garage is a little tighter than that, I have about the same room on the left hand side when i have my right hand side mirror within about 1/2 inch of the wall. Thanks for the pics, confirms in my mind that it would fit.

Here's some more info ive just found

same width mirror to mirror, but the wide sills and panels do mean you need to open the door much more than a normal clio to get out of it.

you will be ok getting one in a single garage, the squeezing in and out is a minor inconvience for ownership!

They're a fair bit wider due to the huge sills! The problem is, you need enough room to be able to open the door quite a bit otherwise you can't get out as the sills are in the way.
