v6 255 or merc sl

who said about keeping up with neighbours ? thats your presumption.

if i wished to that i would go and buy a "c" reg vauxhall astra in red and leave it in the sun all day without any polish !

and for your information girlracer certain merc sls still fetch circa 25 - 30 k depending on condition, age and milage.

dont know whats cheap about £15,000 or £25,000 or £30,000

if you owed that money you wouldnt think it a "cheap" amount !!???

sit at the back of the class.

Cmon, make your bloody mind up - the wait is killing us!!!

The voices are saying Buy the v6, buy the v6 - Mercs are for old boring gits...):devilish:

hehehe wellllllllllllllll ive kept the 172 - i honestly couldnt bear parting with her.

i feel for the car more than my old golf gti mk2 16v ! and thats saying something !

so ive bought a a 430 AMG CLK Convertible (amg wheels, bodykit and suspension mods)

not quite the old git !! but halfway there !!!

dont shoot me guys !!;)

hehehe the 430 is quite quick on accelaration - not sure of exact figures and it gives me the best of both worlds.

just couldnt get rid of the 172 - means too much to me.:D

is it just me or is anyone else on here really "attached" to their 172 ?

absolutely. I couldnt contemplate changing it until I could afford a V6 ;)

They are 279bhp, but at 1800kg they are only 155bhp per tonne, not much more than your 172 and below the V6 255s ;)

Simon.
