v6 into a clio

  mk2ph1 rsi 106rallye
would the v6 out a 2000 plate laguna v6 fit in a 1.6 rsi clio ?
would it fit on original mounts?
would the clio drive shafts fit the v6 box?
would the rear exhaust clear the rack bolkhead ect?

has it been done befor?

ive done loads of conversions on vauxhalls but not renaults.

you know you can already buy one with a laguna engine in the back.....

if you had a laguna donar car and used the lot and re fabricated it onto the clio shell might work other than tht i think be pretty much a no go bud

ive put v6 motors from the calibra/vectra into a corsa/astra no problem.

Because the engine is shite. Would be big and heavy and better off dropping something else in there.

I've heard that a Cup 172 can outdo a proper V6 on a track. If that's true, a front engined V6 would be an utter nightmare to drive. Totally pointless.

If you've put a V6 in a Corsa before you'll know it would end up handling like a bag of sh*t.

pointless shite, big heavy lump of an engine, 210bhp in its later form, isnt very powerful at all, you wont fit the gearbox in, wiring would be a nightmare

after changing the front spring rates it handed just like it did with the 2.0l in.

ben172 only asking as i dont want to be buying loads of parts and geting drive shafts ect made up.
doing the conversion on vauxhalls you can use bits off othere models to get it to fit.

on the vauxhalls the v6 engine only weights 20kg more that the 2.0l 16v.

with the money ud spend on a donor car, parts etc you could buy a 1*2 and have it turbo'd/charged.

right, now the big girls blouses have had their say, it's been done into a 205 ;) big peugeots use the same engine and i know of 3 off the top of my head that have been done

Would be a shitload of work, but if you've done conversions before it shouldn't be beyond what you're expecting. Everything custom from the word go though.

can get the v6 laguna for 100ponds and wont cost more than 500 for any extra i need to do it if it will fit in.

if i wanted a 172 then thats 2 k plus anoth 2k to turbo it. cold turbo my 1.6 for 2 k. or nos for 1k

I think people mean

Vauxhalls go into most vauxhalls and the same with Peugeots.

In the Laguna/Clio case it isn't as straight forward as a Calibra into a Corsa for eg.

+1

Most vauxhall engines will fit in most vauxhall models relatively easily.

But you rarely see the same with renault
