v6 mk1/mk2 vs 182/172

Hi guys is there much difference in performance between the v6 mk1 and mk2???

What do they compare like to the 172 and 182??

i have had my mk2 vee for a bout 4 weeks now, after having a 182 for a year and half. the only thing i miss is the boot space, but other then that, its a totally different car, they feel totaly different even seating position feels better... totally dif car in terms of standard handling.... i had apex springs on me 182, the vee sus is much better and a lot more comfy..... i cant comment on the mk apart from my views on the interior, i much prefer the face lift interior

MK2 is a bit more powerful and has more friendly handling. It is the better car but they are both special.

No comparion to a 172/182. The two cars are completely different. The 182 is a very competent FWD lightweight hot hatch. It was designed to get some people in the back and fit the shopping in before someone stuck a bigger engine in it and beefed up the brakes and suspension. The Vee is a focused drivers car and will be a totally different driving experience... RWD for a start, mid-engined, 2 seater with a big engine in it.
