Mine on 35,500 (mk1) it's finewhats the chances of one being riddled with problems say i picked one up with 30-40k miles on it?
What is the real world MPG like on these? My cup averages about 32mpg so i don't exactly drive like i stole it. Would 25-27mpg be reasonable on a daily commute in comparison to the cup???
depends on what you are doing your commute in. Day to day town driving 22mpg I expect and mostly motorway work you could average late 20's.
I've never got it below 20
I managed to get the arse end out on it on a straight bit of road (something on the road me thinks) it's deffo not gonig round a track. I'm a wuss.they do 6mpg on track
i found out why, its written on your jumper
Wouldn't advise one as a daily driver personally but there are people out there who manage it. Key points of ownership for me are:
1. Make sure you have a garage or secure place to park it;
2. Save about £100.00-£150.00 a month to cover maintenance / repairs;
3. Check that you have a decent specialist nearby.
Good luck!
I also do this, obviously not bad as the car is only a year old, i also save for the insurance renewal as well.I guess we are all different in our approach Ali. My budget is aimed at covering most things including the cambelt service, brakes, tyres, occasional bumper resprays and alloy reconditioning. I'd rather save too much than too little
I've not looked bak mate. And i've still got it. So that says something!! It's alot slower/less comfy/etc than the BM. But i'd choose it every day!!
