valver- engine mounts

is the bit next to the power steering resevoir an egine mount?? mine looks very perished, and i have noticed lot more visable movement in this part of my engine than normal- would this be a mount problem?

alos it really stuggled to idel today when i 1st started it, it was in blinding sunshine! so it wasnt cold, but after a min or so warming up it sounded normal, any ideas what the cause of this could be??

Yep, that mount is about £80/90 I think for everything from Renault. (It is worth going genuine)

are the a difficult job to change? and is it worth doing all of them whilst i'm there?

I don't think that one is too much of a challenge, I did the one on my 1.4RT just had to support the engine on a jack while you take it off (which I forgot to do till the last bolt and wandered why it wasn't coming off) but not sure on valvers?

You can also get an uprated dogbone mount from Hillpower for about £50. I've had all mine done and it makes a massive difference!

Don't forget to ask if you can get a little bit off as they are expensive parts and they have about a 20% profit margin on anything with a code starting with a '7' I believe... :evil:

Prices might have gone up a little but they were right about 2 months ago!

Never had any problems using a non-renault top mount. Gearbox mount needs to be renault tho iirc cos i couldn't find one in the factors.

Top mount from eurocarparts is £30.
