What should this be roughly - I have been quoted £670 with Elephant on a K-reg valver worth £1500 (my new project car) does this sound right, I am 25 with 1 years no claims.
Admiral have said £567 so gonna go with them I think. So sad though before I wrote m,y Cup off two years ago I had 4 years no claims and was paying £630 a year at 23. boohoo
Yup, Just spoken to the owener this morning and have bought it - Major project though needs alot of body work doing to it, But it has only got 69k on the clock, is a K-reg and has a new gearbox, drive shaft, head gasket, gas shocks, alternator - Drives beautifully.
I have to get a starter motor for it too but there are other bits need doing like dash bulbs etc but he is doing them this week
Very excited!! Oh and it is black with immaculate leather interior - Need to get some wheels though
Looks nice mate (any excuse to get some pics up lol)
I am going for ultra light weight with this one so wanna try and get hold of some compomotive pro 1.2's they only 4.5kg each
Gonna strip it out and layer the interior with a pvc covering rather than bare metal etc - Is purely a toy that will get used for track days and maybe once a week when bored - New job means I have to tube it to work yuck!
True actually - What are the F7P Engines like with Throttle Bodies though - Or is it not worth the cost?
Don't know why I am asking you this though lol, only just sold the 172 - Valver is just for fast cornering and fun won't be changing the engine for a long time, especially as it is only on 69k at the moment.
TBH mate I would have thought you could get it a bit cheaper. I don't know if it will make much of a difference for you but try adding an older female to the policy - it helps to bring down quotes by a couple of hundred for me - but I'm only 18 and my quotes are higher in general anyway.
I pay £495 tpft on my 95 valver with performance direct. Ive never gone fully comp cuz i wouldnt claim if i smashed it anyway. Ive lost 2 years ncb before and it was a killer. My premium went up £300
mine is £410 tpft all mods declared, 24, 6yrs ncb and 3 points, i've tried a fair few places and that the best I can get (adrian flux) declaring all the mods
