Valver - mad speedo - help please!

Hi All;

On my valver upto about 35mph my speedo needle flickers up and down like mad. I have seen this happen before on clios and there used to be a post on here on how to fix it but I cant find it.

Can anyone help with how to fix it or what needs replacing?

It sounds to me like the cable is worn, get a new speedo cable for it, that ought to sort it.

sorry to sound negative, but if im correct the main reason for the speedo cable to knacker is due to excessive use or to put it nicely its been thrashed;-)

oh well, I didnt buy it to drive like my granny on a sunday morning, so I suppose a thrash down to renault in the mornin to get a new cable is in order then
