valver power steering bypass





done a search but cant find anything

am thinking of bypassing the valver power steering pump and going manual, is this an easy job and how do i do it please?

cant see the point really, only if ur going light weight, in which case change the steering rack to conventional.

u wont get much more power, considering the pump only using a lot of engine power on full lock. best bet would be to call Power Racks Direct for a re-conned one. Prob only be about £60? My rack went on mine and the steering went light as anything like a biddy mobil, cost half the price than a renault one!
 


i think the rack is ok, just the pump, which is £200.00 + vat from renault !

also have a £200.00 gerbox problem so trying to reduce my pain!

iv got a manual valver, works out expensive for the manual rack etc. steering is quite heavy too but its not that bad! good exercise for the arms ;-)

id get a 2nd hand pump from P mitchel or something with some warranty!
