LOL...dreamers...

I love valvers as much as anyone, Ive had one for 5 years and stuck with it through thick and thin. But there is no way on earth that a valver is anywhere near as quick as a 172 or 182. Its just not. When you ask the question is one car as fast as another, youre not talking about its handling, which IMO is very similar, but you are simply comparing straight line acceleration and top speed. Whatever way you look at it, the 172 and 182 piss on a valver, even though they do look like ladies shopping cars.

No standard valver will crack under 20 seconds to 100 unless youre clocking it with an egg timer and a strong back wind. Valvers are great cars to chuck about, but underpowered. Thats why they built the Willy.

And btw for anyone who doesnt know Aaron or his old valver, YES it was strangely quick, and as he himself says its not as quick as a 172.

My Valver was slower then my Mk1 172 is!

My Valver was slower then my 2.0ltr Willy conversion (obviously)!

My 2.0ltr Willy conversion is about the same as my Mk1 172!

My 182 is quicker then the lot of them:D

End of,

im bored now

night

only a female opinion, but ..

we have a valver, and I used to have a standard Mk1 172 (apart from Koni shocks and Apex springs) - and have driven both round Bedford - I know it isnt the most technical, or "twisty" track in the world, but in my "only female" opinion the 16v was less fun and slower.

and the valver has a magnex exhaust and spax suspension - and according to David at K-tec is quite a good valver in terms of performance ..

just an opinion .... :D

ive told you before, keep your opinions to yourself!!!! get back in the kitchen!!
