Ive heard of people doing this but is it actually worth taking it off and having a Spray foam puncture thingy in the boot? I know the spare i have is a beast a ways a ton!
i did it, and the tyre weld stuff is good for a puncture, as long as its not a blow out. but i drove on a massive trip to newquey last weekend so had the spare in!
worth it if ur ripping the rest of the interior out as well. iv got the spare secured here instead of under the car!
I run without spare wheel, weighs quite a lot. More than anything else that can be easily removed ie Rear seats etc. Remove spare and interior trim and you will notice a difference. I have tyre weld in g/box.
to save some weight on the car remove the bonnett and fit an aluminium one. when i removed it to do some work on the williams it almost tore my arms off when i removed the last bolt and fell right on my foot. must be well over 30 kg.
