Video from Bedford Trackday 16/02/2012 plenty of clios!

  Fiesta!
Video taken from my Fiesta with the camera mounted in the grille, was out for a fair amount of time, so a good few clios feature in the vid.
bit of an embarrassing moment when I locked up and span braking too hard for the corner before the main straight!

Cheers guys, yeah its the shitty maroon and grey primer one! its about 130bhp 1.7 puma engine.
Definately needs more power!

the blue one is owned by Mike Woodford's brother and has an uprated viscous LSD in it. if it didn't have an interior, it'd eat mine for breakfast as its capable of much better cornering speeds. He let me have a go in it at the end of the day as i had used up the brake pads on mine. The thing just drives out of any corner at full throttle with no fuss at all, and it even works the other way around, i was throwing it into some of the corners at silly speeds and taking my foot completely off the throttle trying to promote a bit of lift-off and the diff would not have it! Christ knows how he managed to spin it twice!

Here's the rest of my videos if anyone's interested, including a rearward facing one of me driving Mike's ITB'd clio (only 5 mins as the memory card filled up)

And when you only have 130bhp, you really have to work the lines to get the best carrying / corner exit speed, so I think most of my lines are fairly on the money (most of the time! If you don't spin, you're not trying hard enough!!)

Agreed, you learn a track far better in a less powerful car IMHO.

In my turbo I normally apex a little late and a little slow, then I can get on the power nice and early, makes for rapid progress with very little risk of getting it wrong really (other than that chicane I didnt do that in, lol)

Richie's Ka is epic, but he was having some silly niggles with it, leaky coolant hoses etc.

It was only a shakedown day for him anyway though so nothing to worry about, its only by getting on track and using a car you can really find these issues.
