viper clean idiots guide

i ordered the "pipercross filter service kit" from demon tweeks, in the picture u see 2 yellow containers in front of a box, they look like aerosol cans. i received a small box with one econtainer in it "dirt retention additive", so first i need to ring them tmo, but on the container i got it says to clean the filter in petrol and it says do not wash in soap and water, on the instructions inside it says STEP 3 FLUSH THE FILTER OUT WITH WARM WATER FROM THE CLEAN SIDE OF THE FOAM TO THE DIRTY SIDE, a contradiction. having not put the viper on myself i need an idiots guide to the above and dismantle/clean pls

These are what I thought were the normal pipercross foam filter cleaning instructions. (Dont know if the viper uses the same sort of element?) I wouldnt use soap, just use the foam air filter cleaner provided and rinse with water as it says. Water will not damage the filter.

1 . Dislodge any large embedded dirt by tapping the filter gently. Brush with a soft bristle brush to remove other dirt.
