Volume not working on Stalk adapter

Hi,

I've just put in a Sony MEX-BT5100 with incartec adapters, and this lead for the Sony unit. The display works (says Sony on it) but when I adjust the volume the display says VOL UP/DN but it doesn't actually alter the volume.

Does anyone know of a solution to this?

Everything connected properly? Things can get pulled out when you push the headunit in.

Aye, some of the functions work (I can switch source), but volume is not. I might email incartec and see what they say.

I'd email CAD and send it back for a replacement. Although it's wierd that some functions work and some don't, is it 100% compatible with your headunit?

Should be it's the Sony one listed on CAD, says compatible with all Sony units from 04 onwards.

As it turns out, I'll be selling the Sony unit anyway because I don't like it :S

What you going for instead? Sony aren't the best anyway, you'll be far better off with something else.

I knew they weren't highly regarded but I thought it would be ok as I'm not much of an audiophile. The Bluetooth funtionality is pretty good (better than my P55BT), but the iPod interface is pathetic, and sound quality is a joke; the standard unit is better.


At the moment, I'm looking at the P85BT or the X001/X100. Bit loathed to be spending more money though
