How can i do this without spending the earth? is a remap worth doing?

Buy a new car or strip the car.

A remap wont gain you alot, if anything. Mine improved mid range/low down pull but dont expect it to set the world alight.

Exhaust, Remap, Enclosed induction kit with CAF will get you upto the 182 mark.

I have an exhaust and an itg panel filter. Will i notice the difference if i strip the rear seats etc?

Yeah the back end will become more unstable lol. You do notice a little difference once you've stripped the back out but it gets very echoey, especially if you've got an aftermarket exhaust.
