I know there are quite a few 18 year olds with 172's just woundering how much you are paying?

Lots. I payed/am paying £1700 at 19 with 2yrs ncb. Hopefully should come down at bit now i'm 20 if I make it to 3yrs ncb.

i was told cause my missus was 21 that she could not insure her thru admiral cause of the power to weight ratio but i foned tescos and after being with them for ages and having 5years no claims i pay 300 fully comp. young lads should go thru moneysupermarket for quotes

at mo iam 25 --3 yncb-- clean liscence -- 520 fully comp with norwich union inc stereo insurance--rac home start breakdown--2 months euro cover--legal cover--windscreen cover-- best bit is the 200 excess loving it

itll be quite exspensive for an 18 year old might be wrth waiting till you next ncb or even one after that youll have to weigh it up mate -- how much you want the car to how much itll cost you not just the insuarance but petrol tax (its highest bracket) services , parts etc etc

saying that they are pretty good on petrol

it should come down a bit

i found 21 was a good year and 25 even better regarding price drops in insuarance

being 20 didnt really help me much but you may be different with your providers

I wouldn't bother trying, 1*2's aren't worth it.

I wouldn't never pay over £1000 for insurance now.

But I know what it's like when your young and live at home, I was the same and paided £1300 for 1.6 Escort at 19.
