Warranty on Renault parts?

Car  182 FF, A6 Avant
A part was fitted to my car back in may by the previous owner, bought from Renault and I have the receipt. I now have a CLIP report that states this part is causing a fault in the car, this was established by a Renault dealership.

What do people think my chances are of having the part replaced under the RUK parts warranty?

Throttle pedal assembly. The printouts I have mention codes DF002, DF125, CB22(?) it also states "Throttle Potentiometer circuit track 1", "Throttle Potentiometer circuit track 2", "Incoherence between throttle track 1 and track 2".

They explicitly told me it needs replacing and have quoted.

CB22 just means its a 182

sure its not the throttle body? They're more common than the pedal

if you have the receipt then just show the dealer, they should cover it, but i very much doubt its the pedal, is the car in limp mode?

The car goes into limp mode on occasion. Ignition on/off will put it right again.

Is it worth me cleaning up the throttle body and going from there? Which areas need cleaning?

square box with wiggle on dash?

cleaning it is about as useful as a bb gun is on the front line

that'll be either throttle body/pedal or fuel pump (which won't come up on diagnostic)

That's the one.

Straight replacement of the throttle body then? Any idea on the damage for a new one? If it's horrific I may try a used one first. If I can get the pedal part for free then that's a bonus too.

Will look up fuel pump costs too.

f**k me! Ok, will get on it.

What's a fuel pump go for?

(Thank you very much for the help btw.)

new fuel pumps are about £120, but unless the car has done 100K+ i doubt its the fuel pump, its rare, everything points to the throttle body but i could be wrong!

Not the end of the world @ £120 then. On the case for a TB now.

Will go back to the dealer tomorrow and ask about the parts warranty.

One step ahead of you there ;)

The lad is local to me and I've spoken to him today already. If I get no luck, I'll ask him to take it in.

Sorted. Renault will replace the part and also fit it for free. Just bought a used TB too. Fingers crossed.
