Checked fuses, all good. So the motor must have gone right?

Most probably does the rear wash function not work either? Not too hard to change the pump at all but you'll need a bearing puller to get the wipers off the splines without a doubt.

So, its just a case of wipers off, scuttle panel off then its under there?

Yeah exactly that and then the pump either pulls out of the side or straight up (two designs) make sure theres no fluid left though

Nah you'll be fine with a puller but they'll be on tight especially if they've never been off before!

Yeah best to do it yourself mate a garage messed up my whole scuttle panel and broke my wipers doing it few months ago. Wish I'd done it myself now!

Relay? Can't get to the diagrams at the moment so I can't tell you where it is either i'm afraid.

I lied managed to find a copy, no relay involved its powered directly from the stalk its powered from fuse F3 which is a 15A in the passenger compartment fuse box. Could be the stalk, if you disconnect the wiper stalk plug and ground pin B1 and give a 12v feed to pin A4 then the pump should run assuming the wiring isn't broken somewhere.

Basically if you take the top off the steering column shroud (the one that just pulls off) you should be able to see the plugs that connect to the stalks lighting on one side and wipers on the other. If you disconnect the wiper plug on the loom end it should be numbered and lettered row A 1,2,3,4,etc row B 1,2,3,etc.

The two that the washer motor is connected to are pins B1 and A4, now you can either chuck some volts up its ass and see if the pump runs or more safely and if you've got a meter test to see if you can pick up the pump motor down the loom and see if the contacts on the stalk close at the stalk end. Should find your problem as you'll test the only two bits of the circuit really.

If your not a million miles away I don't mind having a look, revel in this sort of stuff .

Right, a little bump on this. I havent had the chance to get the miltimeter on the go yet (been mad busy in work).

Ive just been poking around the wiper area today and found this plug just disconnected and shoved out of the way all wrapped up.

Is this anything to do with the wiper/washers?

if you have tried a new pump then id go for relay

*if* the washer pump is controlled by one of the 3 black relays in the box then try switching them around, not sure if it is on a relay or not though

Cant you use a tester for the Relays? or is that a no no

One of the lads on page 1 said there is no relay involved. :S
