Weekend work on the Clio. (Lots of pics)

Had a good crack on my 182 this weekend. Had my wheels off to swap around, cleaned all the backs of them, and all the arches etc, so nice and clean under there. Waxed the wheels too so they are looking very nice at the minute.

Then washed, tar and bug remover used to clean it all up, clayed the front bumper, then got bored! Then rewashed.
Also gave the engine a quick wipe over. Really happy how carefully it has been washed in the past, the engine bay was pretty good, and there are no swirls on the outside, only a few small daily marks.

I was going to wax but I want to PC it asap, so not much point, although it does still look awesome :)

Lots of pics of it.

Can see the small dent in the roof on the above pic, but not a big job to remove :)

Plans coming:

New aerial
Silvervisions in the post
Front end could do with a respray to remove some stonechips

I love it!

Thanks :)

Oh, my private plate will be going on soon, so I'll have a 3/4 one on the front as I think they look good.

Mint! Love titanium, understated......

Yeah, I still want an Arctic blue one to be honest, but I think they look awesome in the Silver too.
Still contemplating some light tints and spraying a few bits anthracite to be honest, but not 100% as to what it would look like!

Id leave the windows TBH. Coils, breathing mods and I'd leave it! The wheels look mint, only reason I'd change is because of the weight....

Hmm, coils I want in a way, but at the same time the handling is awesome anyways, I think it sits nicely and is comfortable, but I am only young so comfort isn't my biggest issue!

They may come but not anytime soon.

Might be getting a Viper for it, but I don;t want an exhaust, not a fan of loud cars to be honest and it would just piss me off at any time other than giving it some beans. For looks I might get some slightly larger tips welded onto the standard system, just to look a bit meaner from the back.

Wheels are heavy!
I would love some 2118's, but then I would need coils really to finish the look.

Either way, wont be for a decent amount of time, I want to get the few bodywork issues sorted and get some money back in the bank, skint after buying it!

Excellent. Agree with lazy kev. Drop (coilovers) breathng mods then done. I like the standard Wheels, look well with a nice drop :)

It's lowered on sportlines at the minute. hard to tell because of the slope the car is on, messes up the height.

This is how it sits on flat ground:

Coilovers are out of my reach for now, I havent got £600 spare!

Yeah I do fancy some, but no cash at the minute!
Owe my dad £k's for the work he has done on my house etc, I feel guilty enough about having a nice car when I could give him a load but he knows I like my cars so he's ok with it!

But if I start spending £500 on wheels, £600 on coils etc, he's gonna get pissed!

Gaz yours is/was awesome!

Aye. Tbf yours is mint!! Love that splitter mod! In the sun Titanium is fekkin awewsome :) The Anthricite colour of the wheels work well with it, like the R27's in Nimbus :)

Cheers cheif.
I love the blue, but this car was perfect, price, miles and service wise. And i do liek it, think it shows the lines of the car nicely.

Fitted Sportlines and Prolines on a couple of cars now, the Sportlines are really good springs but I couldn't justify £130 odd on them. I'd rather get some coils on a credit card and pay £50 a month for a year!

The car looks mint though fella, can understand you not wanting/needing to touch it!

Agree, i've seen a Titanium 182 in Stoke before now, dropped on its ass, think it had French plates, it looked immense tbh!!! As you said, shows off the detailing perfectly. Trouble with Black is some of that is lost, and its a pain to keep clean/swirl free as you know ;)

Hmm, thats quite a good idea I guess, but slipperly slope with things like this for me, gonna have to wait!

Cheers cheif.

Black looks stunning when clean, but i don't often get chance, which is why i do a big job when i can liek this weekend.
I wouldn't mind some Weitecs, would be nice! But in no rush, this car is staying for a decent amount of time, so no rush!

Exhaust wise, I think I'm gonna follow in Pauls footsteps, but have some slightly larger tips welded on aswell to make it look a bit better from the rear.

Not a fan of exhausts in all honesty, would do my head in when I just want to potter about, but I like the looks!

So I'll spray it to prolong the life for definate, when I get chance!

Thanks for all the nice comments, really loving it!
Had 2 people comment on how clean and awesome it is today at work, along with finding out about a surprise £400 bonus it made my day :D

I'll try and get some pics for you, but i just ant be bothered at the minute!
The ones I can see are where the tailpipes leave the backbox, on the welded joints there.

I guess my short journeys don't help with getting rid of the condensation, reason for more 50 mile country road blasts!
