Still quite a porker though :(

I can't see you getting close to stripped Mk2 weight. But i guess that's obvious.

Nope, not a chance mate!! But I have a genuine 200 and a bit BHP so if I can get near to 1000kg ;)

Not knocking it fella... it's a good result for pretty minor strippage.

I still need to see your car, since you didn't come to the meet :dapprove:

Anything more serious planned? Strip wise.

a stripped 172 is about 980-1020kg (depending of fuel) off the top of my head

Interesting mate!! Cup racers are 1060!!

No mate I know, its sound!! those pesky wee 172s are light as hell!!

Yup, ft seats going, aircon going, more sound proofing, and maybe polycarb if I can be arsed!

^^^^ if you have no friends you will only need one seat which will save a bit of weight but you will never get it to 1000kg without changing all windows to Perspex and get rid of the dash. Waste of time if you ask me

cos your 197 is already losing £100 a month in depreciation so don't make things worse for yourself. Unless you plan on keeping it forever then please continue ripping it to bits ;0)

Aye I will pretty much have to keep it now mate, at least untill the finance is clear;);)

78kg lost then! Thats massive!

We should weigh mine to compare it to!

p4ers, the aircon adds the extra weight back in!

oh and Hulk, dont like it dont post!

Polycarb is a waste of time on a road car IMO. Scratches wayyyyy to easily.

Not if they have the coating on like ours do:approve: Our rear one scratches easily due to not having the coating on it but our side ones have been good.

I would not put them on a road car though!

Hulk dude, if you dont like dont post, its his car, his money and its up to Kev what he decides to do to it!!

LOL kev i'm adding weight to my cup and you are stripping yours, meet you in the middle ;)

Aya streamline all carbon, and I mean ALL carbon, even the runners, bucket seats!

Kev is basically me, but more attractive and more money to burn
