Weird Engine Light Issue

Well the story goes like this....On Friday drove into the ferry to mates house car was fine no lights on the dash, comes to goin home and the Engine light and Service spaner light up and i get a nice messege from my car "Check Emmisions" so as the service department at my local stealers was closed on the sat just drive around with the lights on as the car felt fine.

Anyway drove through to tentsmuir today with a few friends and well abused the car on the country roads all the way there and the same on the way back on the way back we stopped off at shops so turned the car off and got out for a chat came to heading off started the car up and the lights had gone and no message coming up anymore.

What i want to know is should i still take it to the stealers or just leave it as its gone now ???

Its probably picked up a lamdba/cat fault which will go off after it not finding one after 3 starts iirc. Its fine, if it comes back then i'll probably end up being a new lambda sensor.

Well its been started alot more than 3 times so could it be what you say and reappear at a later date ??

Well theres a set number but the fault might have been present for a few more times. Just suck it and see what happens basically.

Am i right in saying that the exhaust system goes like this

Engine Manifold > Cat > Silencer > Backbox ??

As could the fact that what im asuming is the silence is taking a hit when i go in and out of my drive way
