weird problem

  clio 182 & Fiesta RSTurbo
Ok i've searched the forums to see if i can find what's wrong and nothin really helps tbh.

Last night i had a spirited drive with an RX-8, as i came to slow down and change gear it wouldn't go into gear.

There was no smelling clutch or slipping and there were no bangs or anythin, i've left the car over night incase summat did over heat.

i've started it up and it starts fine no whining or crunching sounds, but the engine shakes in the engine bay and when i put it into gear it jolts as it goes into gear.

I reveresed the car so i could open the bonnet and there was no slipping or horrible noises.

Any ideas? :dapprove:

Also before anyone says anythin i will not be having a spirited drive with an rx-8 again.

Not that cos i've had it on axel stands and the dogbone is fine weirdly, the engine has alot of play in it when i push the cat up and down.

On the picture below that arm moves alot even when in gear and reverse. :dead::S

where is this situated?

I don't understand how it drives with no noise just vibrating and it accelerates with no slipping. :S

yea when my friend put it in reverse i could move that linkage arm about like it was in neutral.

would it be a good idea to get it checked out properly?
