weird rstuner problem

I have just got a new laptop as the other one decided to die taking everything with it!

So i loaded the latest rstuner software to the new laptop (version 4.40) plugged the rstuner tuner in clicked connect to vehicle and got an error pop up saying "un recognized vehicle identification number (VIN)" it won't let me input the VIN manually either.

The rstuner is locked to my car and i have re-calibrated it already (through my old laptop) i was only going to erase some fault codes.

Has anyone got an idea why this is happening and how to sort it?? it worked fine on the old laptop!

I would try removing the program and re-installing as even when there locked to an ecu you can read other cars faults and erase

Just got an email from back from Henk saying there is a glitch with the new 4.40 software and it shall be rectified and adjusted.

Just got to wait now.

I think I have the version pre 4.4 if you want it? Could try installing that?

4.27 to be precise. PM if you want it pal.

Already fixed 1 day later with version 4.41. Only old style VCI affected.
