Welding spacers to wheels

Is there any problem in welding spacers to wheels???



In Portugal it's illegal to user wheel spacers, so some people weld them to the wheels and paint them, so that in the IPO (equivalent to MOT) they can't see the spacers.



Same local rally teams also do it, and they told me that there is no problem on doing this.

not really much point in welding them, just use them as they're supposed to be used.

at least then you can take them back off if you want to sell the wheels or whatever.
