Well done cobra, he was gutted and upset but now he is happy.

Had both my seats delivered the other day (new cobra daytonas)as a lot of you are aware of!! had a rattle with one of them - so played about with it! and in the end i managed to break the tilting part of the seat! (the weld was terrible)

I thought hey ho! i managed to stop the rattle so thought at some time i could get the seat welded up!

In the mean time i had been speaking to Cobra about the rattle and explained to Mark about the problems i had incurred etc! he was great and said that he would sort me out a new seat! (cant say any fairer than that i though)

Then at dinner if ^^ the above matter wasnt bad enough i decided to have a look at the other one! to find this one had broke away from the weld (i must have only sat in the car half a dozen times and only used the tilting of the seat more than once or twice!

so at this stage i was really upset! i rang cobra they were very help full and apologetic and said that it must have been the trainee that put them together! so are going to send me two new seats and collect my old ones at no cost to me!!

So ill have some more seats coming tomorrow! from a negative situation to a positive situation - cobra have tried there best - just disheartening that the weld was very poor to start with!

I wonder if renault have ever used that line ?? (i'm not speaking from experience btw, I read others stories about their cars falling apart)

I'd just be happy I'd spotted both and both are being replaced, rather than only spotted it on 1, then get that replaced only to discover the other one later and need that replacing also!!

No it juts makes it higher than a normal fixed bolt in, and rock about from side to side like a jelly.

yeah i agree - not many companys would have been interested in sorting out a problem

It is a nice gesture from them yeah, but on the other hand if they hadn't offered to replace them & you'd crashed causing a mojor injury to yourself due to the seat breaking, they would be looking at lot more cost than the price of two seats.
