Well I needed a new exhaust

Old one has pretty much fallen off since yesterday so am booked in to Powerflow first thing Monday morning for the princely sum of £200 lol.

I know some people don' tlike powerflow but I never had a problem with the one on my old 19, I made sure they use 304 grade ss as well.

Plus I needed it done asap and I wanted to keep the stealth pip, and it's cheaper than getting a Ren one :)

Well all done today, was bang on £200 :)

Quality seems very good, all fits nicely with no knocks.

Only downside is when I left it with them they asked if I wanted it to soudn standard to which I said yes, it's noticibly louder :(

But it seems to pull a little better higher up the range, although that could be all in my head as I had to drive it lik ea granny when the box was falling off :)

^^^^ A bit confused mate . Your booked into Top gear , for a powerflow220 but they don't use powerflow ? Is it powerflow or not powerflow ??

All the systems are fabricated on site at powerflow using backboxes , tubes etc that they buy in .... they just make up the system and weld it all together . Sounds a bit iffy to me all this " better " system stuff . If they are not actually using the powerflow components , then they will be using similar components and doing exactly what powerflow do , just weld all the bits together .

I had a powerflow catback 304 ss on my old 172 , the guys at Burnley were spot on , nice sounding exhaust , lifetime warranty :)

Ph1 172 BlueFlame exhausts are £240 fitted, on eBay. BlueFlame are located in Skelersdale, the system is 2.25. If you get the 3" twin box there is massive resonance between 4-5k...which equates to 80-90 mph, sounds awesome below and above that range tho, no 5k kick but loads better pick up from lower revs. I have got one, but swapped out the backbox for a single oval, much much quieter, but no where near as freeflowing.
