When i bought my cup it already had a K&N and Scorpion exhaust on it. Its now done just over 8,000miles and i thought id have a look at the air filter and see how cruddy it had become. It was pretty dirty so ive cleaned it using filter clean and the colour of the cleaner after working it in with a paintbrush was really mucky.
Wow, it feels so much mroe responsive (now maybe some of this is in my mind) but i drove it last night and it felt so much better on pickup, and im sure there was an audible difference to the noise from the filter. I panicked a bit thinking maybe id not put enough oil back on, but i reread the back of the can and id put the right amount on.
Well worth doing if youve not cleaned your air filter and youve had it on a few thousand miles.
