Alright all , iam new here, just saying hi
I will be in the market for a clio asap, am i right in thinking a 182 with cup packs , has A/C , C/C, leather seat,s , ect, ect, with the uprated surrspention, spoiler's , and darker wheels?
What does, black gold mean?
Also any clio 182 percific problems i should look out for when chooseing the car?

hi,

yeah 182 with cup packs is a good choice. Black gold is a stunning colour, the gold being like a mirror finish when it's cleaned properly (see Rich's 182 black gold FF on here, do a search)

From what ive been reading , id want a full fat version , with the cup packs, how much is a fair price for a mint example , with 10-20k on the clocks?
Any probb's to look out for?
Ive done a sheach, but there not much info!

I reckon £8-9k absolute max for a minter matey. 04 reg etc. try autotrader. check for work that's been done on it under warranty if any. such as ecu work. can sometimes be a common problem with mk2's such as starting problems and small electrical niggles. But nothing major seems to have been reported as 'bad' with mk2s.

Bought mine in May '04 and covered 25K. No problems apart from wear and tear on tires and brakes. A couple of small rattles from the dash but as I have music on all the time it doesn't bother me. As before it is a b*****d to keep clean but looks great in the sun, cup packs a must.

yeah for about 9k you could get a really nice one, I paid 10k for mine 6 months ago, its a cup tho, selling it now tho, due to company car, what pug you got ???

A 98 306 Xsi, it's got a nice bit of poke , for a first car , i bourght it to get used to driving somthing SORT OF quick befoure i spend some real money ( to me anyway ) on somthing faster and newer, TBH , if GTI6's were a few years newer id probbley stick with a 6, but it's crazy paying 4-5k for a 6 with 50k on the clocks , as good a example as your gonna get for a car thats 6-8 years old, so the 182 , with cup packs sounds very much like a 6 imo.
So im used to french electronics , and build .

I paid £10k for mine 12 months ago, 182's are going for peanuts at the moment have a look on pistonheads there are loads on there for sub £8k, if your going to spend £9k you want a 55 plate low miles, its a buyers market out there at the moment as these cars just arn't selling right now

Why do you think people are selling up pretty quick?
Im the same as everyone else in this price range , Clio, LCR, or CTR, with the Clio you get a lot of BANG for your buck!
Some of em have hardley got any miles on, why they gettin rid?
