what do these warning lights mean??



driving my car and suddenly the engine management light came on, followed by these lights...ive drawn them, but belive it or not it is a very good drawing of the lights....car wont go over 2500 rpm in any gear, but drives.

thats the warning light i got, zig zags in a box with kinda like circles underneath.

car = 2002 172.

any help appreciated

Thats the electric fault warning light, could be anything really. Needs to be plugged into diagnostics to find out whats wrong.

Washed it recently ? Could've got something wet ?

quite possibly on a diesel kangoo, how old what engine? if its a newer one probably wants a set of heater plugs and a new EGR valve, as they coke up and cleaning them never seems to last long!

my 1.2 did this one, as did my 182

They just reset my 182, but the 1.2 they had to change part of the loom and the throttle bodies aparently

May be worth checking the relay box by the battery.
Its notoriously not water tight and if water has been getting in for a while then sometimes the relays corrode and then all sorts of things start to act up.

My old 1.2 had problems everytime i washed it or it rained.

This happened to mine and i went back to my favorite place and they said a sensor had gone down.

Im getting that zig zag symbol light up on mine as well ever since i removed the sensor at back of air filter to put new one in. But it seems to run fine.

Neither would i without looking! there all bloody different! (models that is!) edde may help, be the same as the clio lump, it may not even have one!

PM me your address if you ant a file engine is the same as the CLio so bits are in the same place.

If you find the intake manifold (round the back on the engine you'll see the intake pipe from the turbo on the passenger side but you'll also see a smaller pipe attaching to the top of the manifold much smaller in size that the pipe going from the EGR to the intake manifold.
 
EGR, Intake manifold, to manifold, turbo intake what edded LOL i am lost where am i :p

Pm me your email address if you want he files but you can find the EGR valves easy.

Find the intake manifold there a small hose connected to the top of it on the drivers side that connect to youre EGR valve I'll try get a picture tomorrow.

Just had this happen to mine so I came straight home, turned the engine off and then turned it back on and it seems fine now, went for a drive and it's not done it again.

What are the chances it will go again...should I get it put on the diagnosics at Renault or is it going to be waste?
