Bloody Hell it's half ten, I started reading this hours ago

Sheep Shagger lol

This should've been cut and dry after about 2 pages.

Why did M40 jump in at the start? It was like a party I was at recently where the cake had a chunk out of it before the candles were blown. We were all scratching our heads when this fat bird walked in with chocolate all over her chops. Schoolboy:rasp:

Place bets on the seller 'disappearing' ?

Before you submit a case you'd be expected to take 'reasonable steps' to sort out the situation. In other words, you need to submit a formal complaint to the company. This thread or any pm exchanges from here would most likely not count as a formal complaint. Send him a proper letter, Sent recorded delivery stating the facts about why your not happy and any supporting evidence (Might be worth getting a 'professional' opinion on the quality of the items - drop a few emails through to a few companys who provide the same services.) In the letter suggest your plan for a resolution (Full refund) Set out a reasonable time-line for this to happen in (14-30days.) If the seller hasn't refunded you by this point, Send a final demand stating your intentions (Small claims court) if the situation is not resolved, Again you have to set a reasonable time limit for this to happen by.

In an ideal world you wouldn't return the mirrors to him before he has refunded you (As, lets face it - the way his character has come across on here i'd fully expect him to take them back and then not bother refunding.) unfortunately though, He's entirely in his rights not to refund you until the mirrors have been returned to him and inspected.

Get down to CAB and get some proper advice. Their website is also a good place to get started.. http://www.adviceguide.org.uk/index/your_rights/legal_system/small_claims.htm

Funny how we've got an influx of carbon experts now on the forum, when most buy fake stuff thats been wrapped in 3M carbon vinyl!

Anyone who knows real carbon weave knows that it is rarely straight and often has imperfections.

Not defending the aggressive tone to M40 CU0's responses however, a refund should have been issued by now.

you on crack alex? anyone who knows carbon fibre knows it doesn't look like that, thats wet lay carbon, if done right can look good but in this case its a bit hooky (good effort though to be fair)

I was trained in composites by Paul Hamlin, he was top guy at Prodrive composites, so i know a bit about it (althogh i spent most of the time sniffing the chemicals :D)

The reason the seller was so defensive against a return may simply because he knew that the product is below reasonable standards and a total loss.

The simple and obvious philosophy that everyone in the thread has highlighted upon got summed up very nicely the other day;
Sometimes mistakes are made that cost a business money. It happens. Sometimes keeping a customer is better in the long run as you make money back if the customer returns at a later date.

Good point on the Letter Before Action.

However, he doesn't have to return the mirrors yet, but vendor has less than 28 days to refund the pennies now before they are 100% in breach of DSR's

No mate

He thinks hes disappeared but logging onto here daily.

That's a shame.

I know he feels that the work is upto standard, but as you are unhappy, I don't understand why he doesn't just pay up and move on. Very strange.

Am I right in saying that he is effectively getting a free set of mirrors in the deal?

If you send them back to me recorded daliver insured for the cost of £200 as I did to you then yes as soon as I reciev them I will...

Seems to me this is resolved? looch you have been offered a full refund once the product is returned, I do not know of any company that will offer a refund before the faulty goods are returned. Also as you have been offered this you do not have the option of small claims court as the seller has done everything in his power to offer a refund, your just not willing to comply to his terms. both as stubborn as each other is seems. What ever next. Just get them sent back and be done with it.

At present I've asked publicly and privately via email for his address. I've yet to hear back from him.

M40 CUO is refusing to supply an address for the returns IIRC.

What are you trying to say, I was looking at getting a V6 but everyone seems a bit retarded maybe its a clio thing!

No address? Did you not get an invoice for your purchase? How on earth did you pay this guy?

Look I can spell all of a sudden?????????

If they are the same person, they're using different computers/IP address's, and one knows how to spell and construct a coherent sentence.

Seems the only one on these forums with a brain cell is a moderator. I have been put of getting a V6 by the posts on here not very friendly at all.

Don't judge a car on a few owners mate, not everyone is like the sample you have just met.

Still, buy a V6 and you probably won't regret it.

To be fair I wouldnt even class what was said as banter on a forum such as this, it can be a lot worst and epic.

Cant belive this is still going on, I thought M40 had accepted a refund finally.

Well I thought he has been reasonable all the way through tbh, offered an exchange, offered a refund, what more does the buyer want? If anyone can post here with a company they had a refund from before returning the goods I would be amazed it would never happen.

Fair enough he spells like a 3 year old but anyone would get assy if they had the piss taken out of them. Maybe he has learning difficulties, you should all feel bad really.

  BMW 323ti
M40 offered a full refund upon return as any company would! Maybe it took a while to get there but it did so credit to M40. Also looch posted he has all of M40's details but wants him to post them? Why is that then, seems like looch just wants a refund and a free pair of mirrors!

Anyway the refund was offered and looch has lost all hope of small claims if he refuses to return the items.

You all prove my point, with the very nature of your posts, hardly a way to welcome a new member to the forums. Part of my BMW experience was the forums. There very much more mature in nature to this one! Every second post proves this, don't think I want to be associated with you guys to be honest.

You have hardly come in warranting a welcome tbh.

Most peoples first post would be ' Hi i'm *** from ***' etc etc

LMFAO - best thread I've read on here

What a f*cking r****d.

£200 for some second rate s**t carbon fibre. The OP just posts pics to gauge if he is being unreasonable - doesn't even mention the seller
Then the guy starts talking illiterate chav s**t - my daddies got rich lawyers haahhahaha

Oh and the comment about not seeing streamline do anything complicated?? They made an entire dashboard out of carbon fibre for a sierra cosworth - and there wasn't a single ripple in it you bellend lol

And this "new guy" - I got put off buying a V6 because of this thread!!! LMFAO
Ok so some chav sells expensive s**t carbon so you don't want a V6 - yes quite likely. I'm sure the loss in 2nd hand renault sales will have a massive impact on the club hahahaha

I'm just gutted for the OP - I feel we should all chip in a donation to get him his money back then smash the mirrors to pieces and post them back

I've stayed out of this 100% up until now (just watched out of curiosity) but the comments being thrown about now are too funny to avoid...

Cliosport.net homepage - Welcome to our newest member, skinkybaby

Skinkybaby's first 5 posts all in this thread.

I decided to start my CS conquest nice and gently in the "Hi I'm new welcome to the forum" section, now I'm not one to point the finger but as a general rule most people tend not to jump straight in to a debate that has been going on for a fair few days....

Skinkybaby, if you are indeed a new member then I welcome you to the club and wish you every luck in your hunt for a V6, this forum has been an invaluable tool for me. If however, you are indeed mr M40 (or associate) then you should of at least gone to the effort to post in a few other threads first lol!!

Just for arguments sake it would be interesting for a mod to see the exact time taken between signing up and posting in this thread...not that it would prove to be conclusive

EDIT: Beaten to this by about the 5 posts before me.... Also I am not stoking the fire, merely passing comment on something that has made me chuckle this evening

On a side note - as a developer who's specialised a fair bit with internet security in the past - it's quite amusing how much of a c**t the guy is willing to be when his full name, address and phone number (both home and mobile) are publicly available on the net!

PMSL with one quick search of google and I could go pay him a visit right now if I wanted.
