what do you recommend to make the 182 sound nicer?

Ive recently heard a hillpower set up and it sounds the nuts although it was on a car with a cat back and decat aswell

yep course its full fat with cup packs, wouldnt have a cup. it had to have stripes for me also so i am more than chuffed with it, also low mileage

i have a simota on mine and makes some noise. wouldnt say it made any power gains but was good for noise

but after hearing andys yozzasport decat and exhaust system sounded amazing

Has to be a yozzasport, BTB or orbisoud, i woildn't even waste your time with any other 182 exhaust!

yeah then remove the acoustic valve. whatever one of those is.

its in the original cold air feed and wouldnt be used if you fit a bmc. You would route a new CAF up to it bypassing that valve, or remove it completely like me.

i removed my acoutic valve and sound deadening from the bonnet along with a panel filter you can hear slightly more induction noise at 5k now but not much louder to be honest, as people say induction kits (sealed) give most noise, and i have just ordered a btb exhaust system.

Just got a Bmc Cda induction kit on mine sounds good,also got 2 metres of Caf and ordered a Samco bend and removed acoustic valve total cost £230.

Pull one of the feeds off the airbox, and leave it 10mm away from it. Its a pikey mod, but will give the car more induction noise (i have done this )

K-Tec decat, ITG panel filter, Remap, delete acoustic valve.... Sounds great, but what really shocked me is that during track day, i removed the rear seats.. the sound that you hear now is AWESOME.... you guys should try it

As she said she doesn't want an exhaust I'd say go for a BMC. Not a lot else you can do without touching the exhaust.

well . . ive just fitted the Simota induction kit, Yes yes its an open air jobby and all this hot air dribble but it sound awesome, never heard anything like it. It does not feel any quicker or slower which im not fussed about. I cant describe the noise it make. It does sit infront of the bat so quite far from the engine and theres loads of air flow flrom the grill and spaces between the grill and light.

Also got the OEM cold air feed still there.

Awsome mod love it to bits.

Can make it use more fuel and without a remap to go with it probably make it loose power.

The first mod I did was to put a decat on mine with just the standard exhaust, gave the car a much nicer rasp:rasp: to the exhaust note along with a very slight increase in power

I have also just put a K&N induction on it and the sound is awsome. However after I have been driving it for while the car does seem to be a bit more slugish especially at low revs, think I might put the standard air box back on.
