What do you think i should be pushing out power wise ?

I bet a few of you were waiting for a thread like this to appear
Lol :)

So anyway after reading this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?p=4870513&posted=1#post4870513 on a 182 with the following mods
itg panel filter,milltek cat back & remap pushing out 191bhp which i think f**king hell ! ! !
Good on him :)

I'm curious to know what my 172 running the following mods may push out :)

Stealth stainless exhaust c/w decat,
Itg with uprated feed and no acoustic valve
Grp N Remap.
(Soon to be matched inlets and a remap again)

And before anyone says it i'd love to come to the Scottish RR day to find out but i'm off the road till 1st May for speeding at over a ton (silly me i know :( - Do the crime serve the time is way i see it ;)

So now i've fessed up, it may explain why my car aint been seen in a while (Ali, Tav) ;)

my clio only done 21K so betta hurry and get it to 30K

Not always the case but from what i've seen at rolling road days, clio's with less than 30k on them seem to be under powered in comparison, mine feels even better with another 11k on it since i bought it

Ok cheers guys thats not bad i can live with 175-185bhp :)

Its on 59k at the moment and is an 02 plate with full Renault history (like that makes a diff Lol :))

Oil change every 6k too ;)

That ones not making 191bhp. The rolling road may say it is but trust me its not. The wheel power it recorded is about right though! Your car will make standard power, 5bhp or so more with matched inlets and a calibration optimised for 97octane+ with plenty of spark in it.

To genuinely make circa 190bhp you absolutely need to change cams. Cat 428 is a perfect profile for 190bhp on standard (but modified i.e. matched) intake manifold.

I love rolling road threads. we should have a sticky above them to clarify things!!!

never go off at the flywheel figures from rolling roads, as they are a calculated guess

power at the wheels is where its at

also different rolling roads will be calibrated/operated differently, and give varying results

rr's should be used for before and after comparisons to see any benefit from a modification

just drive it to the scottish RR day everyone in this country gets away with everything anyway so you'll just get a slap on the wrist!! - thats a joke dont actually do it! lol

anyway back to the questions, as you know with these cars it could be making any power depends what it starts with, mine with just an ITG filter made 173bhp on a RR day when most cars were making bang on figures!

id guess at max assuming it makes 170ish as standard 180-185bhp max!

ive now got 182 manifold, decat, k-tec stealth and AWT matched inlets and adding an RS Tuner map before RR day so hoping for 190bhp but ill be lucky ;) just need to wait and see!

Lol :)

If only i could Martin :D

I guess i'll have to wait for the next one :(
And i hope its around 180-185ish i'd be happy with that.

When is it going to be rr'd ??

I'd love it to be Rr'd at the Scottish RR Day but i'm gonna miss it (See above-my stupidity) :(
So i guess it'll be at the next Rr meet after that one :)

Thats why i was curious and posted this thread asking what people with similar mods have acheived, and after reading about the 191 bhp 182 in the link above.

It'll give me an idea of what to expect power(ish) wise when i do get it Rr'd. ;)

I got 174 atf, 151 atw on my 130k miles 172 with just a ktec stealth.

Has been well looked after on the oil front. I thought I'd check the compression after those figures and each cylinder was making just over 190 psi so still good compression. My 42k miles 182 was only slightly higher compression at 195 psi.

Well the other cars that ran that day weren't... they were right

But people whinge because mine made 183bhp, and apparently motorscope isn't the most accurate
