what do you think to my car/van

was wondering what you guys thought to my clio as im undecided what to do next im after some 15's or16's when i get some more money and a respray been lookin at gettin a 172 engine aswell depending on costs. What are your views and what woudl you do/ change.

now with sport steering wheel but cant decide which i prefer sport or momo.

plenty of boot space.

i think it looks better with the older wheels on as they go with the door moulding badges.....i like what you have done with no back seats and subs, how much did that cost to buy or did you make it?

i must say i prefer the old wheels a lot more just in process of refurbing them but really want 16's . they shoudnt need spacers now as it has full 172 suspension on front end with brakes so fill arches better need more recent photo's really. it started of as a clio 565 ( dci 65 van ) and has been made to a replica of a 172 as i love the looks .
just debating on whether its worth puttin the 172 engine in . i would be at every meet goin but havnt passed my driving test yet .

i would keep it diesel and get a years no claims then buy a 172 because actually doing the conversion and insuring it would be cheaper to have a 172 and insure that because when you chnage engine you have to expect more faults than a standard 172...i wanna be a full member but not got my clio yet :'(

1.2 16v beast for now dude. getting my 182 in march i hope! dont go near engine transplants with that you will just devalue the s**t out of it. leave it a nice economical diesel! get some years noclaims and then buy the real deal!

nice 1 . yeh thats what i have been thinking dont want to spend to much or a car that isnt worth much . i can get insured on a 172 for 1750 fully comp so not need to worry about no claims . mite just be worth selling van and buying a 172 then no need to declare everything and bump up insurance .just undecided atm think ill end up finishing mine and see were it goes from there .

exactly what i said least some people have sense on here alot of people say get rid and get the car you want without thinking of price and same with engine conversions although i looked at a cossie or duratec 2.3 bored to 2.5 for my fez but cba now i wnat a clio sport 182 and march is a fair bit off mate but good luck when you get it i get mine for xmas or birthday in jan !!! aslong as funding goes well!!!!

1800 on a clio sport 172 sounds a bargin....fully comp on my modded fez its 3000 with adrian flux! when i passed and i'm 19......i would say best thing is get no cliams then trade it in for 172!!!!

i am 19 with no yrs no claims only thing that wasnt correct is i put that i have a full license which i dont . it was on my motor quote i can get it for £1230 third party fire and theft . and beleive it or not 1600 third party for a clio v6 on a 54 plate i think it was. But fully comp i cant get insured . apparently its because i have a good post code and a very very low crime rating were i live . try a quote on a v6 tpft you will be surprised

its 52 reg'd in october with 52k on clock just having a full engine rebuild using genuine only parts and a replacement turbo. its also mapped by derv doctor to make 105 bhp without fmic and running i think it was 11 psi boost . oh a has a derv doctor d valve .if thats any help as to value

1800 quid is WELL cheap mate to say he hasn't passed his test. it depends on his age...

like i said im 19 with 2yncb and il be paying 1800 when i get my 182...

if anything i would say that his quote is cheap... people on here are paying alot more on insurance

i would think with performance mods it will increase mate so i would think about what you have or have had done so far not to get more unless you can afford it!

the first quote of £1230 is on a clio 172 tpft i think i got the reg of a members car of here so you can check it or go on dvla.gov.... and type in reg and that will show its a 172
the second quote for £1800 is tpft for a clio v6 again feel free to check number plate its a genuine v6 not a rep and think it mite of been some 1 of here of just a randomer of ebay . and the third quote for £1600 is on my clio van again tpft .

tpft? why the heck is your van dearer than a 172 and near the same as a 3.0 v6 230bhp sports car which is insurance group 20! when 1st diesel make its cheaper, van makes it cheaper! and its got crap bhp next to both of them! and if you have declared your mod on these too its stupid your better selling your car and getting a v6 den

i would say that this is very cheap for a 172 with no no claims to say its 3k for a 182 with a yeras no claims for me fully comp

i know i cannot understand it 1 bit but atleast you have seen the quotes and can now tell every1 thats there real . van insurance is always a bit more expensive than normal but 200 pund less than a v6 ?? i cant explain that . i cant get insured fully comp on a v6 and there is no way i woudl drive a 16k car tpft wouldnt be so bothered about a 172 but thats only 1800 ish if i remember right fully comp. no mods are declared on any of the quotes . and there has been 2 burglerys in the 10 years that i have lived on my estate both of them were from left open garages scuba gear and a bike .

well i would say get a v6 mate if you can get it for that but looks fairly weird to me try goin on gocompare mate and doing it as if you just passed give me all your details you use and i'll chekc it agin example 1st name, 2nd name, email, d.o.b and password when asked to fill them in

i first tried quote on go compare and kwik fit and my motor quote were always cheapest so went on kwik fits website and tried quotes on there and went on motor quotes website and tried quotes on there motor quote were always cheapest .
