The Boosh!

  Elise, Duster
got a bloke tomorrow to come and look at my paintwork...

its in generally good condition - bar the odd scratch (usual )....

the main thing i wanted to get ride of was the swirls on the paintwork.

dunno how they got there - they dont look bad or are that noticable but they are there and can see them reflecting off the sun...

he is gonna quote me when he's seen my car but what rough price do you think it should be? more than £40?

cheers

Porter Cable... Its the machine that is used, There are Porter cables and Rotary Machines which are used when needing to Remove Swirls Etc.

to PC a car he'll have to prep it, i.e. washing, claying etc...so I reckon 80-120 quid

£40 is dirt cheap, a local Polish place wiping over some crap polish which won't really do anything will cost you about that - for a "proper" paint correction £100 would be a fairly reasonable price, some of the guys who do it for a living charge a hell of a lot more than that though. Still good value for money though considering how long it takes to do properly and the materials and skill needed.

Even on a car with minor swirls they would still have to, normally:

Wash
Clay
Wash/wipe down
Machine polish (2 or 3 stages)
Seal and or/ wax

And that's not even doing stuff like cleaning and dressing plastics, tyres, arches, engine bay, interior etc...

as the man says, it is really worth doing if its done correctly, ***awaits before and after pics from brand***

ha they are all on my laptop...will try and get some shots later although mainly after shots I have to say!

Trust me though - you get what you pay for!
