What does a knackered wheel bearing sound like?

My car is beginning to sound like a ferrari, thought it was the exhaust initially but that is sound. Have told it could be a wheel bearing?

Jack it up and spin the wheel, sounds like a rummbling noise.

its a loud droning noise when your driving. could also come and go depending if your on a left bend or right bend depending which bearing it is.
