what does a standard 182 exhaust sound like ??

My exhaust sounds very tinny almost like its blowing. Do they all sound like this standard ??

I would get underneath it and have a look, sounds like it is. The standard exhaust is shite, most people end up replacing with an aftermarket one as the standard ones just fall apart.

Standard they just sound like a normal car in my opinion, just induction noise.

Yeah its really strange if you accelerate at lower rev up to about 4k its sounds really odd. I wouldnt say it was that quiet for a standard exhaust.

Are they normally silent ??

Not dead quiet. I personally like the sound of the standard 182's.

Not silent but nothing fancy. Sounds like something to do with your centre box possibly.

yeah as above the standard exhausts on 1*2's all total balls so its best get it looked at and changed !

check the top of your backboxes near the inlet points. mine failed there, could even have been failed before I bought the car as I always thought it sounded a bit loud at idle.

looked fine from underneath though, not much rust, but the top of the inlet to the backboxes had a hole you could nearly fit your hand in!

My left backbox has a rusted casing but not sure if that is causing a blow.
