Yeah it needs to be jailbroken. When you do jailbreak it youll need winterboard (get through cydia) and then you just download themes from cydia and apply through winterboard, pretty simple process. Iv yet to find a decent theme so iv left it stock

Plenty more useful apps and endless customisation it just gives you more control over the device. There really are no cons to it, you don't lose anything by having it down.

It's a mix mate.

The icons are "Matte nano", lock screens called "zacs lock screen 2" and the status bars called "wave status bar".
