Yesterday i put a tester on my battery to confirm it is fubar, jump started it tested that the alternator is ok, took it for a spin. Really need to get my finger out and get the garage clear so I can get it off the road for the winter

cant stand the boot badges so removed them (ages ago lol) and only just got round to fitting this badge. took the edges off and painted it up silver. as standard it came black and would be too ott on a silver car. also covers the 'clio' holes up quite nicely. well impressed, makes a change from the usual new age rs badge (and cheaper lol)

Fitted new ball joints to the wishbones I bought the other day. Wishbones are polybushed and have a strengthening plate welded on. Completely overkill for anything I'll use it for

Replaced a failed fuel injector. It'd obviously not been quite right for a while, engine feels much smoother now it's been swapped.

Did manage to pour an entire fuel rail full of petrol down myself. What a bloody idiot......

Got fed up with my Connects2 iPod adaptor repeatedly becoming disconnected behind the dash and not being able to change tracks, so I pulled out the head unit and cable tied the connector to the Connects2 box. Hopefully that'll be the last time I have any problems with it.

Nasty misfire and running on three cylinders. I wasn't sure which injector was at fault but the one I replaced was very difficult to get out of the head and pretty much fell apart in my hands once it was out so I'm pretty confident that I got the right one.

After half an hour of running around with the new injector in the misfire hasn't come back so fingers crossed it's all good now :)

Dropped the car at the painters today to get my roof painted. Theres a couple of dents on it like something had been dropped on it by previous owner.

Replaced my nearside HID bulb, what a shite design having to pull off one side of the bumper and remove the headlight to change the friggin bulb, French bellends haha.

Finally got my carbon buckets in. Had them sitting in the house for a few months now.
No photos tonight though as its dark, need to get the car all hovered out and take it a proper run tomorrow to see how they are :)

Tried getting the JCW grills on to my Mini... the 'hard' one was actually quite easy really, but the 'easy' one is f**king impossible! 😊

Fitted by newly repaired wheel which had a free refurb as they couldn't fix it without stripping it :). Done at the wheel specialists in avonmouth, Bristol. Top job and excellent service, would highly recommend. Nice going somewhere full of car enthusiasts too. Excellent colour match as well.

Took the new car for MOT and it passed. Woo. Got an advisory that my grills held on with Blu-Tack lol (it isn't, it's epoxy resin just holding it in place)

Got questioned by the police as I was sitting in the road trimming off the excess with a scalpel! :anguished:

Tried to find the leak causing the passenger front and rear footwell to be soaked. Can't find anything, the middle scuttle drain hole was a little clogged but it's draining fine now.

I hope it was just the waterbottle I found was full and had leaked it all out.

The paint was flaking off my heater control panel and fitted a second hand one from ebay. If anybody plans on doing that there is no need to remove the hazard light panel like the guide says and you also don't need to flex the panels to take it out even though it is a tight fit. Once you've unplugged everything and taken the bolts off you can turn it so the heater controls face downwards and then push the left hand side up and back and it comes out quite easy once you get it angled right.
