Removed the fuel tank. Safety first kids :up:

Weight reduction yo

Fine tuned it. It absolutely will not sit higher in the bumper but now they are equally as low instead of different heights! Crappy scorpion shyte.

You need to get rid of the standard exhaust mount rubber mate, and polybush it so you can drill holes and get the hangers to sit higher in the squares and sit flush

Changed the oil and filter on the 182 today. Five litres of Shell Helix Ultra 5w40 and a Bosch filter. Should last all of 1200 miles before it needs yet another litre. 😧
Also tightened up the 19mm bolt on the dog bone mount. It was poking out about an inch. No matter how much I tighten it, it works it's way loose a few months later.

Decided I need to sell it [emoji20] arrival of a company car in a few weeks and lack of parking doesn't leave me much choice.

Had all the intention of fully refreshing all the suspension components today. Past couple of weeks have been spent gathering all the bits and pieces. Got new Wishbone bushes pressed in....... Took 3 hrs to replace 1 wishbone. Gave up and booked it in with Local specialist to finish it all off. :weary:

Serviced car this week, new oil, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter

MOT due next week, fingers crossed:monkey:

Refreshed the engine mounts with some power flex bushes. Top engine, Dogbone and Upper gearbox. Wow what a difference, feels much smoother and slots into gear so easily.

Filled new exhaust hangers with Tiger Seal and left them to set. Found out why my exhaust was rattling...

Heat shield was hanging down and resting on top of my RS192 :anguished:
Reattach what I could, need to get some Araldite for the bits where the bolts were ******

You mean tortured!
I think you mean saved money on lowering springs.

Got the tape measure out to see how much shorter in length my R26 is after someone ran into the back of it while stationary at traffic lights...

Had the geo set up on the car yesterday as I wasn't happy with how the last company set it.

Made a start on cleaning the car ready for CSF.

A long time ago, I posted on the what MPG thread that I was getting 54 mpg at a constant 56 mph.
This was after I replaced the air filter 3 years, 21k miles ago.

Fed up with the amount of fuel I have been using lately, I repeated the exercise on Friday, only to find I was getting 42 mpg at the same speed, and my average mpg over 220 miles last week was 33.

Saturday, I banged in a new £12.90 filter from GSF, and it`s back to 54 mpg at 56mph.

Had a little drive out today, mixed motorway, A & B roads and was very pleased with the improvement, despite being caught in a 20 minute, 4 mile stop start 1st gear anticlockwise tailback just before J16 of the M25 as 2 minis had managed to shorten their wheelbase in an attempt to mate.

The service interval for the air filter is 12k, so don`t be a plonker like me, as it will have paid for itself by the end of this week.

I recently changed my standard filter for a ktec style induction set up and my average MPG is up 5MPG

It finished on eBay last night, buyer arranged to collect tonight. Lunchtime today I crashed it into the wall getting it out of my brothers garage[emoji35][emoji35]

eBay buyer still wanted it but understandably I had to discount what was already a cheap bloody good 182.

Gutted to see it go [emoji853]

Charged the battery and gave it a quick spanner check and fluid check as i have a trackday on thursday

Saw the car on ebay, looks nice. Real shame about that :(

What did it sell for pre bump?

Clio in the garage as issues with power steering, changed the pump but still bubbling like a good'un so looks like the valves in the rack itself are buggered!

On top of that, trailer sidelights are not working again. Went in to indespension, replaced plug said it's fixed hitched up and still doesn't work! Okay, so is it the car? Relay box replaced, earth point cleaned up of paint, fuse replaced, replaced some other crimps..... still doesn't work!
Connected up a light board and that works fine for sidelights so trailer gone back in for deeper investigation of wiring her
