I changed the 'pads' on a friend's MiTo.
Only, she never mentioned she might need discs....

It looks like it's been binding for some time as the pads are worn quite unevenly.

1st wash after three weeks of ownership. I had picked up a lot of tar at some point in the last couple of weeks, probably on a 4 hour motorway trip to Luton. I didn't have any tar remover, but managed to get some of it off with clay and IPA. Priority was to get it some protection on as it's used daily and didn't have anything up to that point. Used Fusso Softt 99, which is quite durable, will see how it holds up to the country road grime. Paint correction would definitely improved the finish, but that can wait until Spring. Headlights are starting to haze and there's a few other minor misc things to sort, but I'm just enjoying driving it.

All washed and waxed ready for the week ahead.

OSF wheel bearing and aerial base. Can just about get more than 1.5 radio stations now. Still crap quality of reception though!

Fitted the rear BC's on the weekend, too cold and bored to fit the fronts ?

The Whiteline ARB (bit of bent railing @bloke ?) that has been on for 5 years was fun to remove, bolts so rusty that all 4 on the u-bolts sheared off ?

At least the rear sits ok.

Yesterday I refitted my dash top and interior sticky plastics after removing the vile sticky stuff and treating with Auto Finesse Revive, I also replaced my lacquer peeled drivers door handle.

Today I picked up a set of pretty curbed 172 alloys with two near new Rainsports and two jinyu budgets for £50, only really wanted the Rainsports but hoped some wheels might be better than mine but they weren't.

Gave it a quick wash, looks quite tidy when washed even with it's faded, scratched bonnet and dented rear quarter.

I removed a stray bit of foam from the blower motor / squirrel cage on the 987.
It was make a horrendous noise, one I wouldn't be able to put up with at 3am on my way to work in the morning.

10 minutes pissing about with the radio to get the switch panel out & job done.

MOT passed, now time for the cambelt change. [emoji15]

I just did mine in the car on the Pug, lots of wearing working through about a 3" gap! :D

I never realised how tiny the clio alternator is compared though, might be a nice lightweight upgrade...
