My little lad decided to play with my Iphone 3GS and after prizing it away from him i noticed that on the home screen there is a little white 'tab' on the top left - any ideas what it is?

nope the screen was as normal, it did go away when i went into an app/settings etc but came straight back when i went onto the home screen

Ive rebooted the phone
and its gone but would still like to know what it was... was like an l shape
