What options on 200 cup?

IM in the process of maybe ordering a 200 cup, going for it in red with black speedline wheels, but not sure wether to add manual air con as it only has air circulation(not sure what it really does) and wether to go for the recaros, expensive option!

Let me know opinions

A/C is for softies! i'll happily sit in my 172 cup, rocking polycarb windows, sweating my ass off lol

Then I'll hold my hand up and say i'm a softie, I just get too hot all the time. I have to have the window open all winter, then it needs to be a fridge in summer..

I've never used my aircon tbh. If you're ultra hardcore it is dead weight and cash. However, may be easier to sell on...

i have a sport with neither speedlines or recaros

the car was a showroom car hence the lack of these options, if i had specced the car i'd defo have the speedlines and probably the gt spoiler and the recaros too not the cup spoiler tho

Cant you afford to go FF+Cup? i really would...well i did.
Idont like the recaros, they dont hold you any better than standard seats

Recaros are the biggest MUST have item. Dont listen to anyone that doesnt have them as they fecked up and didnt order them (points at louise!) the seats as standard from recaro come in at just under £1200 each so £850 for 2 is a bargain. They also make the car that little tiny bit special and really hold you in.

I have never owned a car with AC but i got it purely for resale purposes but it was a great help last summer as the 200 gets very hot in the sun with its large windows. Still cant beat all the windows down :D

As for speedlines its not even a question you should be asking. The standard wheels are pretty tat to be honest. They are a little nicer in person but dont do the car any justice.

The cup spoiler is a difficult one as it still looks a little too much like something you pick up from halfords and the gt spoiler requires a different boot lid so you are stuck with it once you have made the choice. Best bet it to go for no spoiler then decide at a later date.

As for cup/FF/FF+cup pack its totally up to what you want from the car! Cup spec car is pretty standard but still at a good quality plus you save £1k. FF+cup pack seems a waste of cash to me as its almost £1.5k more and for very little. Like i said its down to what you want at the end of the day.

Would also suggest not going for the black roof as i think the option cost £450(not sure) but you can get the roof vinyl rapped for a lot less money and it will offer some protection for the roof untill its removed (i have 2 chips on mine)

Love red so deffo go with that :D

Everytime a 197/200 comes up for sale the 1st thing always is does it have Recaros.

You should go white with black speedlines and Recaros and air con. Spoiler is either or

I wouldn't buy a second hand CS with recaros - chances are it's been thrashed to within an inch of it's life because the driver thinks he's Ayrton Senna :rasp:;)

Having seen the wear issues, and sat in a few 197's, I wouldn't be massively fussed with the Recaro's. The standard seats are very supportive.

No - I didn't spec them because I don't see the point in spending £1k to remove two perfectly good seats and replace them with two slightly less good seats :cool:

I agree completely, I would never get recaro's unless it was very very cheap.

£850 is cheap. Try getting two new recaros for that anywhere else when they retail direct from recaro for around £1200 each. Renault must add them at a lose or buy in massive bulk.

The recaros on the renault are cheap and tacky and not worth the money IMO.
I went FF+cup as i couldnt be arsed with the cheap manual mirrors, no cruise control no aircon etc. Im glad i didnt go for recaros, i had the option and money to and i decided not to, personal choice, it wasnt a fucked up spec lol :p
I also found the recaros very uncomfortable and getting in and out would piss me off as you keep smacking your leg. They also wear very quickly and have quality issues (hence the "cheap" £850 price.
Alot of people agree with me about the seats and alot of people dont, having been brought up in a car mad house with various sports cars and sports seats, i decided to not go for them. I recon just try both :)

What ever car i would buy, i would always go for FF+ suspension upgrade as for an everyday drive you want a few gizmos.

In your opinion, some say you need recaros some say you need a spoiler, some say you just want a cup, some say FF, some say all sorts of bollox, just head to a dealer and try it dude as you dont wana regret anything.

The bolsters are softer in the 200's Recaros aswell as per the recent quick wear of the 197's Recaros.

It is a preference thing but as Kevin quite right fully said, if and when you put you're 200 up for sale against one with say Speed lines & Recaros and a/c at a similiar O.N.O price, who do you think will get an email first?

I know where my money would go, a preference yes absolutley, but the general consensus is that Recaros are a must

Nobody will convince me otherwise, you take the hit when you order the car 1k or whatever, it'll be invaluable imo when it comes to selling time.

Just look at the 182's that had trendlines from factory! People pay over the odds for those cars... fact!
