What Renaults Will be the same Box?

Hey,

My gearbox has recently gone in my clio 16V and i wondered if an RSi gearbox is the same as in the 16V's?? as i can pick one up fairly cheap...needing a few more bits to get it thro MOT. I also have a 1.9 diesel clio sitting outside spare but didnt think the box would be nearly as strong??

Part of the 1.9 box were used in building the stronger Mk1 box (the Willaims one) a 1.9 is a stright fitment I think but the ratios are very long. You'll never hit the limiter in top.
I thik the rsi box is the same model type so it will fit though.
The 1.9 box holds back a fair bit of torque this is what kills gearboxs not HP.
