What Size Alloys Are Best

Im getting a Clio 2 phase 2 (Expression 1.2 16v 3Dr) soon - yes i know its only a 1.2 but itll do for now as im only 17! Any Way i was wondering what size alloys would be best 17s or 18s? When i say best i mean help with acceleration the most as i realise i wont get much above 100mph in this car!

Cheers Guys

Also has anyone had any experiance with Sabre Autostyling when fitting bodykits? They any good or anyone with any major bad experiances? Cheers guys

sabre autostyling are the reason behind that awful black clio with a jap bumper, hydraulic suspension and a massive great big ugly razor like spoiler, so to say the least, its not looking promising for them

by the sounds of it youre into your styling, and unless you go for the euro look you will not get any decent accelleration by changing the alloys for bigger ones

yes 13" mini-lites would be the best way to go for accelleration, but sadly, i dont think theyd suit your idea of a modified car, 15" as standard on the car would be the best option IMHO for half decent appearance and a relatively decent accelleration, anything bigger and the rolling resistance will slow the car down, thus reducing the accelleration

any more queries????????

Want acceleration? Go for some nice Euro style 13s. The bigger the wheel, the higher the top end.

Not on a 1.2 the bigger the wheel the harder the car has to work to turn it giving it a slower top end. This may be different on larger engine cars but on a 1.2 u defently gonna be going slower.

17s are just the perfect size for the clio.. but will kill acceleration a bit.

Def my acceleration (wot there was of it) has died on my 1.4RT on just 15s with 45 profiles. thats more or less the same rolling Di!
