What sort of idiot....

top shamer thou, id have to smash the lads heads together if i found out.

Id say it looks like a 'handbrake engagement' problem, the problem being the handbrake hadn't been engaged...

It's funny in our eyes are its not out car, but if it was ur car u won't be laughing, if it weren't ur fault. u'd be fuming.

I know i would.

You could say that about anything, and where's the fun in that.

Anyway, I put mine IN GEAR when I park up, so it's less likely to happen.

I can't do that, coz i know i won't get used to it, and stall when i start the car up, and that look embaressing!

Can't say I've ever done it

But then I always check the car is in neutral before I turn the key. Even if I know it's not in gear, I still do it out of habit.

Couldn't care what other people thought if I tryed starting it in gear, we all make mistakes. I'm more worried about the damage it's do to the ignition system etc.

Foot on the clutch by default when starting the car here.

like rich said, always put your clutch in by default. Its stupid to never leave a car in gear imo, its always a backup
