  S4 (320bhp) + Clio 16v

Right i wanna lower my valver around 40 - 60mm. I want it to still handle good and i want it to look good but still have a nice ride. Im looking for a full kit. What kits would u recomend and where from. Not to bothered about budget so just list some options. Also got 17s on it and dont want any rubbing!

Cheers tom-m

My girlfriend is just gettin 17 tomorrow for her clio and i have been told even with a full car you can still lower to 60mm without scrapein the suspension kit i have just got is the konis full adjustables they are priced at £500 as my pal works as ripspeed staff in livi but way ma ones i got them for £170 as a member of staff ordered them in and wiz sacked so they went into sale at £200 and with my pals all puttin money in for my birhday 2 moz we got them for £170 threw ma pal handlin is supposed to be awesome likes so they would be a good bet m8

Do they do them with out the fully adjust mate?

Cant see the point in having the changing of height! Do u no if they stock them on the shelf. Wanna spend a bit of cash on the credit card. haha

call me old and boring, but lowering 60mm still retaining handling and comfort is imho impossible. lowering 60mm, the suspension excursion will be very small (not to mention completely altered suspension geometry, camber etc), comfort will be of course much worse (suspensions bottoming out very easily or rock hard) and handling... well lack of bodyroll doesnt mean better handling. grip wont be that great once that pothole or bump will send your car flying

also, the only reason why i would use large diamater rims is to fit bigger brakes. very low profile tyres have a much less predictable behaviour, not to mention that any pothole or curb will wreck tyre AND rim. low profile tires are good for track use, very bad for road use.

Fit williams wider track then put a williams coilover kit on if necessary!

I have a post on here about what parts are needed and im aiming to get it done next month. If you can wait till then i can tell you exactly whats needed for the conversion and show the result....

Im running Koni adjustables all round with BBPT -50mm springs.

Also have a K-Tec strut brace, and K-Tec camber correcting bolts.

Running on 16"s with 195/45s the handling is amazing imo.

Can stick with my mates scooby and brothers cossie round the bends (well, in the dry!)

FK Automotive coilovers. Got mine for £480 from Performance Driven in Taunton. They offered frr fitting at the time and may still do it if you ask. Apparently they use koni internals and come with a lifetime guarantee if fitted by FK Automotive supplier.

I got the springs from BBPT, shock from Demon Tweeks, strut brace and camber bolts from K-Tec.

All discounted nicely too!

It is sometimes 17% discount that John gives, depends on the item, and whether or not it is in stock or has to be ordered in specially. Sometimes there is only 5% or 10% discount, depends on their profit margins.
