What to buy (car wise)

  Jap Box
Well ive got some cash gathered now that id like to burn on the car.

Current mods are:

Clear side repeaters
Eibach Sportlines
PH2 rears
Coded side strips
Front fogs
Wind deflectors
Dual optic lights

Also got all of the ICE sorted too :)

Lost on what else to buy really, RS seats would be good but any other opinions first, not going for coilovers yet as insurance dont like that :(

Cars a 1.2 8v so nothing engine wise really as you cant really polish a turd.

Save money, no offence, make your car look as good as possible but its still a 1.2

as coming from a 1.1 Citroen C2 to a CS197 next week when i pick it up, i am so glad i saved my money and didnt mod the C2.

Will be a good few years before I get a faster car, insurance is a cripplier as it is anyway. Rather mod this one anyway for now, ive got a good 3 odd years to carry on saving for another car :)

Good shout on the exhaust though, I completely forgot about that :)

Insurance was £1800 for me, cheapest price I could find :( not going down the tint route really, would end up tacky. Car has been lowered, will be on the hunt for new wheels when I run through these tyres reasonably :)

Do like the idea of spacers though :D

what are you paying to insure the mods? Or is it free to add them?

£25 fee to add a mod, then plus whatever extra it would cost. No idea on different things but I cant go too wild on there.

Yeah im waiting for someone to do a guide for this :rasp: no way in hell I would be able to myself, im pants with electrics.

im in the same situation but at the end of the day it is only a 1.2 and im just saving for somthing with a bigger engine. then modd that

I do have money saved on the side, just in the mood to mod the car currently :)

Dash flocking is an option :D

Hope to get a 172 next anyway, PH1 and can then swap most bits over from this to the next.

Your insurance is a rip off... Have you had a claim?
1.1 c2 fully comp my name at age of 18 was only £800 insurance...(with avaiva) And the 197 fully comp and my name again at 20 is £2000....(admiral)

Shop round for insurance, personally would mod the1.2, but each to their own

im sorry, but your insurance is bending you over.

The most ive ever paid for insurance was £1170, and that was on my 172.
When I was rollin' in my 1.2's, the most I paid was £900 I think (but that was with a full stainless exhaust system, slammed on coilovers, tinted windows, among other things on my old 1.2 Clio)

Not had a claim, but had a write off previously. The prices everywhere without an accident were £2000+ 3rd party only, mines £1800 with 1 claim and fully comp.

All my mates have been getting quotes of above £2000 too so I got a pretty good deal to be honest lol

How long ago was this though? Insuance prices are stupid money now :(

You have a red Ph1 don't you? Take inspiration from clio_stu's old car:

http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?502929-low-ph1-pikey-build!/page11

Most of what was done to that can be done on a very tight budget and the end result was cool as feck IMO.

Yep red PH1, indeed I am using that car to aim at :)

Don't foget Kerry already rolled once car and had an accident on a dual carriageway as well.

Yep, dual carriageway incident was never claimed on though :S or my other crash. The other woman rung me saying she wasnt taking it any further :)

Ummmmm Yeah........ and on that note I'd mod a 1.2 aswell....

Ill try upload some now, camera is pretty rubbish though.
