What to use :)

Hi

Ive got squeaky steering column (it only starts squeaking occasionally, normally after being driven for a bit so im guessing it dries out). Anyways, the squeak appears to be coming from what i think is a ball join at the bottom of the steering column. It isnt covered by anything and i was wondering if it would be safe to give it a spray of WD40? Or should i use grease or get a pro do to it?

Thanks

Dazz

Id try WD40 mate it wont hurt, my dads steering column on his Transit did a similar thing, sprayed some wd40 down the shaft, problem solved! Hasnt come back since!
