What was that really good paintwork Cleaner?

So after youve clayed, or even fully machine polished and wiped down with IPA, people use a product which pulls yet more dirt from the paintwork.

Cant remember what it was, im sure it was Prima Amigo though.

If my mate wafts some money under my nose I might machine his 1 series, but once I have I want to apply something different along the lines of Menz Power Lock and then numerous layers of Zymol Glasur. I want to follow a similar approach this year on my own when it gets machined in April time.

Saw a thread on DW (Nissan GTR) where he used Prima Amigo then Power lock. Does power lock supply a suitable base for Waxes? Im also wondering if I should stop being self indulgent and just stick with a combo of Zaino Z5 (and of course ZFX) followed by Glasur or whatever.

Ah yeah that was it. How does it work then? Apply by machine?

What do you make of Power lock then, or should I just stuck with Zaino Z5/zfx?

Really want a sealant uner the wax this year.

I still find it very funny how it's does that it's mental, to be honest most would work the same if you went over the paint with the product and an MF app the pad would go dirty.

Prime strong is in a different league.

Also we discussed recently how cleansing twice could be very beneficial as after claying ect... and polishing there's still dirt on the car so you could in effect cleanse/polish/cleanse...

Yeah thats where I got the idea from.

So. Im okay with Prime Strong then Glasur after a full machine polish then? Prime seems too good to be true lol. Is it really as good as people make out?

You've seen the pictures. I doubt anything would pull dirt like prime does.

It's more a pure cleanser compared with Lime Prime which contains oils.

I sat Glasur over Lusso Creme and it was perfect as per my DW thread.

Oh and I really don't feel you need to go down the strong route, over standard Prime.

One thing I would advise is the choice between Acryllic and Carnauba, for obvious colour related reasons.

Acrylic is correct, normal prime will also be fine to use mate.

Why so?

And whats the difference? Id sooner have the acrylic. Blue Clio GT.

The difference between an Acryllic sealant and Carnauba sealant on mine (red) is astounding. Just down to the gloss/wet look. Flat colours like RB, red, yellow etc benefit from Carnauba, where as something like a blue metallic will benefit from Acryllic for the flake pop.

Just unnecessary in my eyes. Strong is for chrome et al that is really highly deteriorated. But then again, if your frame of mind is £3 is nothing, then it being stronger won't do any harm buddy :)

I got it but that's because i'm a big deal.

Either will be fine, the Strong can also be worked better via DA.

PMSL!

Ill machine the car with 203s then and then go round the car again with a finishing pad, with Prime Strong. Then Wax it. Then step back and realise that its only a Clio GT.
