What Wax is best to use on Racing Blue?

  RB One Eight Two
Hey guys,

Just a quick question, what is the best wax to use on Racing Blue to get the best results? Are any of the Dodo Juice wax's any good?

Many thanks

Ash

Natty's blue also.

Dodo is more a summer wax imo, not as durable as most.

I used Blue Velvet (Dodo) on my old RB R27. It was nice, easy to apply - but I certainly wouldn't have liked to use it in the winter. Way too cold for that. It's definitely, as Gally said, a summer wax.

Ah that was the one needy could never mind the name of it.

And considering it's been snowing in march i'd leave the dodo wax for now.

This is Collinite 476, aiming to get two layers of this on (over the period of about 6 weeks, will then start using my Victoria Wax!

Get The Nattys Blue paste wax.

Much better then DODO Blue Velvet IMO and much better value for money :)

Collinite is good but it f**king stinks of petrol or some s**t!! I like my car to smell of bubble gum :)

I wouldn't spend more than £100 on wax to be honest. Even then thats a fare wack. Try Swiss wax or as a cheaper option, the autoglym stuff. Can't remember the name of it, but it's around £40 ish.

You could layer 476 after about 48 hours mate.

Natty's blue would be my choice for that blue. Cheap and durable.

I never understand why people would want to put say 2 layers of 476 on followed by a "nicer" looking wax.

I understand why they are doing it what I mean is there is far too many bonding issues and the difference is negligible IMO

Yeah, but dont really have the time at the moment, next time it gets a clean and wax ill use 476 again, most likely in 2 weeks. :)

I always put 476 as the base layers, then a different wax on top purely because its the way ive always done it and my old black 206 looked amazing!

why not go for a selant rather than a wax? there are some crackers out there and easier to apply/remove and last longer.

Got to agree, the clarity is poor with the 476 so the fancy wax will never show anything better anyway, :S pointless imo.
